Australia boasts some of the most beautiful beaches in the world and we believe Woodgate Beach has one of the best.

Woodgate Beach is a pristine beachside community located 25 minutes east of Childers and 45 minutes south of Bundaberg.  It has 16km of beautiful, unspoiled, sandy beaches, totally surrounded by the Burrum Coast National Park.

On a perfect Woodgate Beach day the sunrise is stunning, the days leisurely and the sunset spectacularly serene.

You can stroll along the soft sandy beach, collect shells or just enjoy the ocean views and watch the pelicans and seagulls or look up to see the kitty hawks swooping for fish or riding the thermals.  You can sometimes spot some dolphins putting on a display, and turtles surfacing quietly to have a look around or coming in to lay their eggs.  A special occasion was seeing a humpback whale mother and her calf slip quietly in close to shore to play together before they went out to sea.

When you are driving around Woodgate Beach during the day please be sure to give way to our kangaroos and the occasional emu.
